Privacy Notice

Operator: Morgan M. Boswell, operating Junior CEO Academy as an individual. Privacy and parent-support contact: J.ceoacademy@gmail.com.
Who the academy is for
Junior CEO Academy's current account-based beta is for parent- or legal-guardian-managed participation by teens ages 13–15. Adults create and manage family accounts; students do not need separate email addresses. The beta is not currently accepting students under 13. A guardian's agreement to our participation terms is not, by itself, a substitute for any legally required verifiable parental consent. We will assess children's privacy obligations before offering services to younger ages or changing our information practices.
Information we collect
Parent account: Email address, account identifiers, email-confirmation status, guardian/participation acknowledgments, and related account settings. Passwords are handled through our authentication provider; Junior CEO Academy does not ask you to send us your password.
Student learning profile: A nickname, selected age (13, 14, or 15), completed missions, lesson activity and workbook entries, quiz responses, and saved progress. A student's name or other personal details may also be included if entered into optional free-text answers, even though we ask families not to do so.
Optional feedback: Information a parent chooses to submit through our feedback form, such as lessons reviewed, impressions, and optional tester codes. Earlier interest or feedback forms, if used, may contain information submitted to those services.
Progress safety copies: To protect against interruptions, the academy also stores a limited number of earlier progress versions in the parent account and temporary local recovery copies on the device used for lessons. Unsynced device copies may remain until successfully uploaded or cleared from that browser, including after a parent signs out. On a shared device, other users with access to that browser may be able to access its stored data. Do not enter real customer or financial information.
Technical data: Authentication/session identifiers, cookies or local browser session storage, and operational data such as IP addresses, device/browser details, timestamps, security and error logs, which may be processed by our hosting and service providers.
Please use fictional business examples and avoid sharing children's full names, home addresses, real customer details, photos, health details, financial account numbers, or other sensitive information in activities or feedback.
How we use information
We use this information to register and verify parent accounts, authenticate users, provide family-managed student access, save lesson work and progress, respond to support and privacy requests, send essential account messages, protect the service, and improve the academy using optional feedback. The current beta does not collect payment-card information or use student profiles for targeted advertising.
Service providers and sharing
We use Netlify for website hosting, server functions, and parent feedback forms; Supabase for parent authentication and stored account, student, and course-progress information; and Resend for essential account emails, such as verification and password recovery. Information previously submitted through an earlier Google Form may remain in that service if that form was used. Providers may process the data needed to deliver and secure their services under their own terms and privacy practices.
We do not offer public student profiles or sell students' learning data. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably needed to protect the security or rights of users and the service.
Family access and security
Family learning records are associated with the parent's account. We use database row-level access policies and authenticated sessions to restrict access to family information. Parents are responsible for protecting their credentials and shared devices. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep data
While an account remains active, we retain the parent account, student profiles, and saved learning progress so the family can resume the academy. The latest 30 recovery snapshots per student may be retained for restoration; older snapshots are rotated out as additional versions are created. Clearing website data in a browser removes that device’s local recovery copies; removing a student profile deletes its associated active cloud progress and recovery history. We keep optional feedback for support and product-improvement purposes unless it is deleted sooner or a legal obligation requires otherwise. We aim to collect and keep only what is needed for these purposes.
Access, corrections, and deletion requests
Parents can remove individual student profiles and their associated progress from the family dashboard. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of the entire family account and associated student information, email J.ceoacademy@gmail.com from the parent account email, with the subject Family Data Deletion Request (or describe the request in your own words). Do not email us passwords or sensitive student details. We may take reasonable steps to verify that the requester controls the parent account before acting.
Our 30-day deletion target: After we verify an account-deletion request, we will complete deletion of the family's account and linked student information from active systems under our control within 30 calendar days, unless an applicable legal requirement prevents deletion. We will confirm when processing is complete or explain any necessary exception. This process is handled by our support team; there is not currently an automated full-account deletion button.
Copies in provider backups, system logs, or records we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, or security reasons may persist beyond that period and will be handled according to applicable law and provider retention schedules. We do not promise immediate deletion from every backup. For deletion of identifying feedback or earlier interest-form submissions, please tell us which form you used so we can locate the relevant submission.
Beta access and future paid features
During the free beta, families can access all 16 missions without paying. We intend to provide at least 30 days' notice before requiring payment for continued full-curriculum access. No credit card is collected and no automatic charges or subscriptions occur during beta. If payments are introduced later, we will update relevant notices before collecting new payment-related information.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the academy or its service providers change. We will post a revised date here and give registered parents appropriate advance notice of material changes to how their family's information is handled.
